had her 23-year telecommunications career
interrupted by the onset of a disability. That career was with Ernst & Young where
she worked for private and public companies and government entities, including
American Express, Mattel, Metropolitan Water District, Southern California Gas
Company, Oppenheimer Mutual Funds, and the State of California. After becoming
disabled, she applied her consulting skills and knowledge to solve the
resource-draining effects of disability on employers and the U.S. economy.
Employees lack knowledge about how the disability system works, their rights and
how to rebuild their lives. This lack of knowledge led to her book, Persistence is
Power: A real-world guide for the newly disabled employee.
